Co-op Volunteer Supervisor: Work with Co-op Students.

Background Checks: To be a Co-op Volunteer Supervisor you will be required to have an IdentoGo Federal Background Check and a Central Registry Check for Child & Neglect (CAN).

Workflow for Co-op Volunteer Supervisor Applications:

  1. Co-op Volunteer Supervisor completes the online application for RATC.
  2. RATC will contact you to go over what a Co-op Volunteer is required to do and answer any questions you may have.
  3. RATC will verify with Human Resources who will need a background check completed.
  4. The HR Department will contact the Co-op Volunteer Supervisor via email or phone with directions to schedule a Federal Background Check. There is a $53.25 charge payable to IdentoGo on the day of your appointment. Once the IdentoGo Background check is received back to HR (this usually takes 2 to 3 days), you will be contacted to complete a CAN Check.
  5. The CAN Check, Central Registry Check for Child & Neglect (CAN) is a $10.00 charge payable by debit or credit card to KY Gateway. The CAN Check is processed by the Rockcastle County Schools Human Resources Department.
  6. Both the Federal & CAN Check must be completed & cleared before a Co-op Volunteer Supervisor can begin working with Co-op Students
  7. The RATC Co-op Program Coordinator or Principal will contact the Co-op Volunteer Supervisor once HR gets both background checks back and results are shared with RATC. RATC will contact you, when you are approved to start work with Co-op Students.
